In addition, Deb made an L-19 like the one flown by her father, Glenn, in Korea. It has the tail number of his original plane, and her mot...And t...

The Next Play . . . Tuesday, June 25, 2013. Back home, and thoughts. Day 12, 18 Feb 2013. The final day of our adventure. We're in the Hampton Inn in Beaufort SC, doing the final bag drag and grabbing a little breakfast. We called the same cab and the same guy took us back to the airport. This is all pretty routine at this point. We pre-flight and blast off for Barnwell, a short flight of around 40 minutes, picking up a clearance in the air. We finally get Frederick in sight . . . The overall tale of the...

The Next Play . . . Monday, April 25, 2011. We're experimenting with embedding material in a post, so we'll backtrack a bit. Ann and I flew to Florida in February for the last launch of the Space Shuttle Discovery. Leaving a vicious beast at home to defend the castle,. We had a series of weather transitions along the way. Well that seemed to work out pretty well as grand experiments go. We won't always be posting travelogs, but as we find the occasional noteworthy image or video, we'll include it here.

The Next Play . . . Sunday, June 5, 2011. Homeward bound (I wish I was . . . ). Yes, I know that's Simon and Garfunkel, but that is the leading sentiment today. . . and in fact we will be headed home, right after hitting Target #3, Graceland. It's 29 May 2011. This would have been a really nice place to live. The grounds are comfortable. There are places to relax outside. The interior is very well maintained. The last room we toured in the main house was the pool room. Ann noted that's a paisley fabr...

The Next Play . . . Tuesday, July 19, 2011. It's 18 Jul 2011 and we hit the jackpot today on the Denali Tundra Wilderness Tour. This turned out to be a pretty amazing morning. The sun was out bright and early, sky was clear, and it was forecast to get in the 70s. Our bus driver, Matt Bartholow, like drivers on other side trips this summer, was very knowledgeable and kept up a stream of stories about the geography, its history, the wildlife, and how the park operates. Matt, our driver, was filling time wi...

The Next Play . . . Friday, December 30, 2011. Once more into the breach . . . Saddle up N6321T once again for a flight to Traverse City by way of Ashtabula County Airport, OH (home of a great little diner right downtown). Of course by now, travel has become so old hat we have to find other activities to while away the hours. Continuing into the house there is a beautiful sitting area with great view. Just beyond a second sitting area is the dining and kitchen area. Nancy is particularly happy in this.
