Campsites . . . Each of the twenty one campsites is equipped with its own light, with switch and a double 220v plug and own trip switch. A wash basin with cold running water and a work surface serve as an alfresco kitchen. Each site has its own braai area. There is a central ablution facility with showers, hot and cold running water, flush sanitation, hand basins and mirrors. Lock-up facilities are available in the lodge for all safe-keeping of documents, cash and other valuables.

Museum . . . In 1486, the early Portuguese explorer, Diogo Cao, erected a padrao or cross on a small rocky outcrop along the desolate and unforgiving shores that hug the Skeleton Coast. Battered by sudden squalls and fierce windstorms, blasted by the shifting desert sands and baked under a relentless sun, the cross remained undisturbed by Europeans for four centuries.
