Then back down the western side of the Cape to Weipa, Karumba, Mt Isa and onto the Birdsville Races. From here we will head back East via the famous Birdsville Track. This is our (Boston, Scott and Kiri) 2010 intrepid adventure! Monday, September 13, 2010. Our shrine at Sommerset. East Coast, the Tip. Sitting on our deck of our cabent at the beautiful Punsand Bay on the West Coast, approximately 6 km from the tip if you were to go in a straight line, 30 kilometres by 4x4. Our Cabent is a half cabin half tent and consists of a wooden floor with a canvas roof and two single beds and sits just off the beach. Cape York and Birdsville Races.

Scott, Shane, Graham, Jenny, Kiri and Boston, Karl, Steve. Now In Seisa. 34 Kilometres to the Cape. From Bramwell Junction the ‘Old Telegraph Track’ begins. From here with Jenny and Graham we started this famous track, probably something you should consider putting on your bucket list, it was awesome! Cape York and Birdsville Races.
