Most of the trees will be removed (strategically flattened) so the tee can be built. Left: Trees are down and now the clean-up starts. Right: I found the stream bed and to my surprise there are rocks along side the banks. Left: Tee box is all cleaned up, rocks are going down on the stream bed. Right: A straight on look of the tee box. Left: Starting to make the front edge of the tee. Left: ...

A friend of mine understands my turf drive and anytime there is an opportunity for me to get involved, he is there to help. Jeff Steen: a golf course Superintendent for the Pebble Beach Company (PBC) is from Vancouver Island and one day we were talking about me coming back down for a visit (it has been four years since the AT&T). Now that s living the turf dream. Alright let s get back to the project at hand. Jeff met me at the airport, but my luggage did not! Rob Crompton - Feb 2009.

Right: Back filling with sand around the air vent (on the left) and the plunger valve (on the right). Left: All the rough sod has been put back to finish this part of the project. I worked in some Rye seed into the scarred areas and in time it will return back to a thick canopy of turf.

I did this procedure in both footings to add strength to them. Left: The boards are 4 long x 9 wide x 2 thick, the string line helps me to keep the boards straight and looking good.

Click on any image to see a larger picture. Left: I used a garden hose to help me with picking a shape for my green. The pole in the ground is the middle of the green. Left: Again "Murphy's Law" would raise his ugly head. This time it was a huge boulder in front of my green. You could see by the plywood board where my main drain line is and where the big rock sits, it had to go. The rock size was 4.5' long x 2.5' wide x 4' deep. It had to be blasted out. Right: Wooden stakes were hammered into the subsur...
