Capri 24v Cosworth build. Tuesday, 21 October 2008. Whilst fixing an oil leak on the timing chain tensioner a while back, the chan slipped without me knowing. Capri 24v Cosworth build. Tuesday, 15 April 2008. Just a few pics of the engine going back together. I'm still not 100% sure whether the cam timing is right- its certainly not a tooth out on the chain, but having no vernier adjustment it doesn't seem to line up exactly until 5 deg after TDC. I sought advice though and was told that without the chain tensioner running under oil pressure, it's always going to look slightly out. I'll just have to see how it runs i suppose. :-S. Capri 24v Cosworth build. Monday, 26 May 2008. Not much time spare to do updates as I'm trying to get the car running for the 1st of June (08! Its all coming together now; the wiring is almost finished, the suspension and brakes are fitted, the alloy parts have been powder coated (for durability and looks). It just bolts onto the lid where the metering unit would have originally sat. I've also put a few holes in the side and bottom of the airbox to let more air in. 31 May 2008 at 00:14.

Capri 24v Cosworth build. Monday, 9 June 2008. Spent the last few weeks working flat out on the car, with a final big push on friday and saturday to get it on the road. Got the wheels back from the powder coaters and put them back together using new stainless bolts from compomotvie (at great expense! Worth it though, they look a lot better than rusty ones! Got the axle back in with its new ratio (3.44:1) and at the same time, fitted 1.5" lowering blocks and some new spax shocks. View my complete profile.

I'm about to start a new project- to transplant a 2.9 24v cosworth V6 out of a granada scorpio, and somebody said it would be a good idea to start a blog to document all the trials and tribulations!
