Life On Sassy Cat Hill. Day to day life in the gardens and house at the end of the rainbow. April 19, 2015. Got up early this morning to be greeted by this beautiful sky. I walked around and snapped a few more bloomin pics. As soon as it got light I went out and got the 2nd coat of sealer on the new beaver ‘pond’. It’s ugly but as long as it holds water we’ll be happy! Notice her very own run-in shed there behind her. The side yard where the greenhouse is feels much larger now. Still more to come too!

The beaver enclosure project has been somewhat consuming most of my time lately. The pond part is complete for the most part and has been curing before the big test of how it will hold water. A rainstorm gave it a bit of a premature test run! Matilda and B.B. send you their love and thanks too! We added these panels to the old one in order to make a much larger enclosure.

Let’s take a short stroll this morning, it’s 42 degrees! The birdbath and the heron are reemerging from the quickly melting snow. As is the cracked and leaking beaver pool.
