A CRUISING DOWN THE RIVER! Most of the time I am not alone when I kayak even if other people don't go with me into The Swamp! I like to be a true observer when I paddle. It takes practice and mostly respect for your surroundings. If the critters would just get use to me pointing my camera at them it sure would be easier. Too many times I feel like I am perceived by them as a stalker out to kill! Wait come back and smile for the camera! This is the look I get from a Double Crested Cormorant!

Favorite Links for my backyard! A CRUISING DOWN THE RIVER! It is nice to know what has been tried and enjoyed! Fun things to do and do again. Making Tracks has the best folks to help you with your giddy up fun! Area is beautiful. And if warm enough you can take a swim with your horse! Lodging in cabins and lodges in Fort Mc Coy. Canoe or kayak at the Outpost in Eureka. Best place to drift and enjoy nature in one of Florida's Real Rivers. Lodging at Griffin Ranch. And very close so as not to miss the boat!

Fort McCoy, FL. The unexpected is the best fun! Waking up a Yellow Crowned Night Heron! This is one of my favorite images. This is a Yellow Crowned Night Heron with chick. Way cute. This is one of my favorite bird! The Anhinga. The only bird native to Florida to swim under water to spear fish.
