Hint one (in white): You'll notice that every word contains seventeen letters and the bigram "Qu". However, not every seventeen-letter word containing "Qu" is in this list. Puzzle o' the Day 399! A Heronian triangle is a triangle whose sides and area are all rational numbers. The name "Heronian", of course, comes from Heron of Alexandria, who gave the formula. A = (1/4) sqrt( a b c)(-a b c)(a-b c)(a b-c) for the area of a triangle with sides a,b,c. 1a (The puzzle: medium). Find a Heronian triangle with area 1. First, go try Nick's puzzle if you haven't already, and then try this, which is just the same puzzle with backwards state abbreviations (e.g. OR becomes RO).
