There are ton of sites that have advice on this so here is what I have read that makes sense. Heat is a big enemy of your battery, so keep it cool and having it in the laptop all day while the laptop is been used as a desktop unit is not a good idea. So, if the most of the time the laptops is used as a desktop, take the battery out. Avoid power eating accessories:.
