Monday, June 29, 2015. Grand Manan, A Little Bit of Paradise at Hole in the Wall Campground. I am writing this a little out of order. Since we have been without a reliable wifi signal I have fallen behind with my postings. I'm jumping to our most recent stay because it was so profoundly beautiful and I am so excited to share it with you. A little voice wants me to keep this gem a secret but I would love for you to enjoy it too. Top cliff site B in Section D. Champagne to celebrate our first night. Someti...

Monday, July 20, 2015. Hot Dogs in the Middle of Nowhere and a Horse Named Dawson. I'm taking you back in time a bit,to the end of June. We had been staying on a fellow Roadtreker's property in the Annapolis Valley and he thought we might be able to find a boondocking spot with an ocean view down in Port George. So after our first night on his property we set out the next day in search of the little town park to see if we could do some stealth camping! We passed this sign while in search of the town park...

Roadtrek Girl: The Journey from Gaspe to Miscou
http://roadtrekgirl.blogspot.com/2015/07/the-journey-from-gaspe-to-miscou.html
Thursday, July 2, 2015. The Journey from Gaspe to Miscou. Because I was so very excited over the beauty of Grand Manan Island, I skipped over several of my blogs that I had pending. I will now play catch up! Before we headed out we took a short tour of the lovely Ville de Gaspe. The quaint little shops line the hillside-so sad that the boulangerie was closed-good for the diet though. Goodbye Ville de Gaspe-hope to return someday. The beauty in this church lies in its simplicity. You can't help but th...

Roadtrek Girl: Love the Nova Scotia Coast from Peggy's Cove to Mahone Bay

Monday, July 6, 2015. Love the Nova Scotia Coast from Peggy's Cove to Mahone Bay. This is a window in the town of Mahone Bay-good philosophy. When we headed to the Maritimes I had a little idea of what to expect from Nova Scotia, but goodness gracious me, my expectations have been blown out of the water. I love this province-but I especially love the coast and the sweet, lovely fishing villages. I dream of them now and they have taken over a huge space in my heart. My driver, aka sweetie pie, spotted the...

My sweetie is about 350 miles south of home getting Ruby ready for the big trip of 2015-new tires and fixing the black tank and macerator hose. Yuk,not the things to talk about when I'm writing about food. Sorry. And I'm sorry if I've bored you to death talking about the trip to the Canadian Maritimes-but I'm over the moon EXCITED! Part of the readiness plan is Road Food and today I'm trying a spicy pulled pork recipe that should freeze...

Roadtrek Girl: Road Musings
http://roadtrekgirl.blogspot.com/p/the-road.html
Who am I that I ache for places I have never seen? Here is the road: the light comes and goes and then returns again. Whirling with you yet every one alone. Do not ask questions but when it invites you to dance at daybreak, say yes. Each step is the journey; a single note the song. Be gentle with your fellow travelers as they move through the world of stone and stars. Bless the Day: Prayers and Poems to Nurture Your Soul. May God give you gentle horses,. And an even trail to ride,. Wherever you may go.

Wednesday, December 31, 2014. To Those I Love-Happy New Year. I hope that the days come easy and the moments pass slow,. And each road leads you where you want to go,. And if you're faced with a choice, and you have to choose,. I hope you choose the one that means the most to you. And if one door opens to another door closed,. I hope you keep on walkin' till you find the window,. If it's cold outside, show the world the warmth of your smile,. But more than anything, more than anything,. My wish, for you,...

Thursday, October 23, 2014. Wharariki Beach, New Zealand-Throwback Thursday. A little of the gorgeous scenery we passed on the way to the beach. What great memories I have of New Zealand. And this was one of my favorite hikes while we were there. The owners of the inn we stayed at recommended this hike, Wharariki Beach to Cape Farewell, to us and I shall be ever grateful for that recommendation. ,. But oh the rewards! Happy Trails my fellow daydreamers. Location: Cape Farewell, Tasman 7073, New Zealand.

This is where you find a journal of Herb and Wilma's travels. The First Willie's Tug. Monday, March 25, 2013. A trial of the setup in the choppy bay and 4 foot swells offshore gave solid reception thoughout. We never expect to have the system running while underway, but it is designed for such use and we wanted to see how it performed. More pictures of this job and other modifications can be found in our R27 Modifications photo album here. Walldog, Willie and Jake. Links to this post. By mid morning as t...
