The Windmills of My Mind: The Last Thing You Want...
http://mymindswindmills.blogspot.com/2010/09/last-thing-you-want.html
The Windmills of My Mind. Friday, September 17, 2010. The Last Thing You Want. I was making a trip from Waterloo, Iowa to Ankeny, Iowa and as is typical - I waited until the last moment to take a potty break. The LAST THING I needed to see was a bus, filled with football players pull in just ahead of me. One of the few times I encountered a line into the men's room. The line was sooooo long I was contemplating a tree. Posted by Robert Hill. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

The Windmills of My Mind: A Conundrum
http://mymindswindmills.blogspot.com/2007/03/conundrum.html
The Windmills of My Mind. Tuesday, March 13, 2007. While my wife and I were waiting in the local Social Security Administration office we were witness to a conundrum. A very frustrated lady came into the building where part of the process is showing the guard your ID. I imagine to thwart any old lady terrorists out there.). At any rate, he stopped her at the door, "Maam, I need to see your photo ID. I can't." she growled. Posted by Robert Hill. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

The Windmills of My Mind: Memorial Day 2010
http://mymindswindmills.blogspot.com/2010/05/memorial-day-2010.html
The Windmills of My Mind. Monday, May 31, 2010. I am always amazed at the twist and turns my life takes. Last fall I had visited a grade school classmate of mine and during our visit she told me about the town of Williams, Iowa ( where I grew up until I was 10. And the Veteran's Monument the town had erected and celebrated on Memorial Day 2009. Several months after that conversation I had been visiting the farm where I grew up on ( taking photos and remembering my jump off the windmill. I didn't start th...

The Windmills of My Mind: The Toilet
http://mymindswindmills.blogspot.com/2010/11/toilet.html
The Windmills of My Mind. Wednesday, November 10, 2010. I called the church to let the Church Secretary know about the issue and then later in the day sent an email to the priest to let him know as well. It seems that he had 7 or 8 people tell him while he was still at the church, and received another 1/2 dozen or so emails later in the day. When I spoke with him the next day he simply said, "I wish I could get that quick of response from a stewardship letter.". Posted by Robert Hill. Quote of the Day.

The Project Continues: Red Rooster Cafe
http://rallenhillproject365.blogspot.com/2014/07/red-rooster-cafe.html
Wednesday, July 30, 2014. I recently had my 45th class reunion. I graduated in 1969 from Iowa Falls High School. The Red Rooster Café was a place I visited frequently as I was growing up in the 1960s. Most of my visits were in the middle of the night before I went home - some of my visits were with my folks and some were for breakfast before I went to work. I nearly died here when a piece of chicken got caught in my throat, but thanks to my mothers quick reaction I survived. View my complete profile.
