About — capturing christine
http://www.capturingchristine.com/about
Thanks for stopping by! Here's a little bit about me. I grew up in the beautiful Midwest and gained a love for vast open landscapes in the idyllic countryside of Southern Illinois. Casting my imaginations towards my heritage, I embrace the aesthetics of Chinese calligraphic landscapes through the eyes of one that has grown up in the landscape and culture of the American Midwest.

When the Legends Fail. October 29, 2015. I was recently chatting with an old friend from art school. We’ve kept in touch over the years seeing each other’s art shift and form, succeed and fail. We’ve encouraged each other to stay in the race and not give up. I showed him a picture of something I was working on recently. It was just a light hearted. Little illustration of some auburn fall leaves tumbling down turning into little crimson hearts. These are deeply satisfying,. Funny He also talks about one t...

Thursday, November 20, 2008. More Adventures in Layout. We're going somewhere. Some more initial layout:. I'm thinking of using this for the final page:. I'm actually really getting into this. The computer allows the process to go a lot more quickly and I can work on it pretty much anywhere if I have the right files and images uploaded. It also has a lot. Wednesday, November 19, 2008. Sophie Loubere: March 2012
http://sophieloubere.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Wednesday, March 21, 2012. It's fun to scan in pencil and ink drawings and screw around with them in photoshop. Sometimes I have no idea what a piece will look like in the end, and that freedom is really refreshing. I love seeing what I can do with texture to completely change the tone of a piece, and I love how I can make many different images starting from the same source. Tuesday, March 20, 2012. Comics always all the time. Inking on bristol, then scanning in and placing texture digitally.

Friday, November 9, 2012. Barn Burning 2: The Burnaning. I have a few larger independent projects going on this semester. This is great, as am I am learning how to balance the workload for these along with the smaller stuff that is due week by week. I'm also way more invested in my work. It feels like a culmination of everything I've been working toward for the last couple of years. So where does one start with 22 pages of text? Barn Burning Mock Up. I bind the book. Sophie Loubere: August 2012
http://sophieloubere.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, August 19, 2012. It wasn’t ever going to stop raining because Day-oos was angry and she was going to drown but what better way to go? She saw it clearly. Her little body floating upside down in a vast green sea. It was too late to make a raft, too late to apologize or pray. But she was naked as the day she was born and was slippery with Day-oos’ wet earth. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). My Artwork and such. Other Contemporary Artists, Illustrators, and Crafters. Capturing Colombia | One heart at a time...
Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:. Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long-suffering and doctrine. And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also. As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. A lot has been going on around here.

Pontosabban Columbus mellől, Dublinból. 2012 december 11., kedd. Mindneki vigyázzon magára. no meg másokra is. Szép hetet! 2012 november 25., vasárnap. Hálaadás és Eric vétel. Volt az asztalon mi...
