Human scale is my study of the ethics of taking and publishing images of people in public places. I’m increasingly seeing the places I go more in terms of how people interact with those and potential to tell its story. Whilst permission isn’t required to take photographs in public, it isn’t always appropriate to do so or publish them. Adding a title also affects interpretation. Events in Turkey and Eastern Europe at the beginning of September 2015 have rightly been highlighted by the media.
