Sachi arrived to pick me up from the apartment just before 11am, and then we brought all my stuff to the school, where I left my luggage for the evening. Anyway, at a little past 1pm, Masuyama-san and Pillai-san and I went to this Yamada electronics store. Pillai was supposed to buy a Sony Clie, but unfortunately, it was only in Japanese. He bought a Japanese-English dictionary instead. Unfortunately, it is also for Japanese, but he could use it nonetheless. Quite a sad day today. Got to the school b...

On the topic of basketball. Today is class day. I had two classes in a row, from 9:30-12:30 this morning. Interesting topics, both. Duh, almost anything wind engineering is interesting to me! That's inclusive of taking lunch in Hon-Atsugi, and a 20 minute or so wait for the bus, because I was one minute too late for the previous one! Start to do some literature survey for my research topic, read about global warming and stuff because there will be discussion in class next week, and so on. Anyways, I alre...

On the topic of food. I was able to sleep relatively early last night (before 1am), and woke up quite early today, maybe around 7am! And so I was able to go to school early. I did feel hungry early though, like it was only 11:30am. So I went home for lunch at 12am. Actually I passed by the convenience store first to buy salad. I finished the last of my chicken adobo. Then. I fell asleep, this was probably around 1:30pm. I also bought me a " chi-zu piza. Seaweed, similar to the one used for sushi rolls), ...

The Japan! Japan! Blog: Arigatou
http://japan.ronjie.com/2012/04/arigatou.html
On the topic of nihongo. April 16 marks my 2nd anniversary here in Japan, and the 2nd anniversary of The Japan! Blog (version 2.0). I hope to stay just 1 more year here and earn my degree by March 2013, but that is unless I could find a nice job here afterward. Fittingly enough, after 2 years here, it is only today that I learned that "arigatou" ("thank you" in Japanese) actually has a Kanji, although in most cases I only see the Hiragana version of it:.
