Cuisinart 14-Piece Deluxe Stainless-Steel Grill Set
http://www.carbonboy.us/cuisinart-14-piece-deluxe-stainless-steel-grill-set
Cuisinart 14-Piece Deluxe Stainless-Steel Grill Set. May 3, 2015. Summer is approaching and I need a fix. I fell for an Amazon Daily Deal and picked up a Cuisinart grill set for 25 bucks. Made in China of course, and Amazon sold this for half off and still made money. The scary thing is that it appears to be of fairly good quality. Crap from China of fairly good quality that’s a game changer. Kinda like Honda in the 1990s. Next post: Weather Everywhere! A new home page. Corrupted WordPress X Theme.
First Grill after the Chill
http://www.carbonboy.us/first-grill-after-the-chill
First Grill after the Chill. March 15, 2015. It’s amazing how fast we go from cleaning the damn road salt off ones car to cleaning bugs off the windshield. Well that’s what happened this weekend and it is a much needed lift. Now when it first reaches 80 degrees F a man simply needs to forget about all the good stuff he mostly eats and just stoke up the grill: beef, corn-on-the-cob and a baked Idaho Potato. Ok, add some grapes, tomatoes, olives and wine to justify the indulgence! Tagged as: Good Food.
Ground Zero Revisited

April 5, 2015. Sometime in the 1970’s I had dinner on the top floor of the World Trade Center. It was electric! I recall visiting a few years back, and it was one massive construction site. It is now a minor construction site. This is still the city of the world and will be for my life anyway. Downtown today Midtown tomorrow and if lucky, a revisit to the NYC Car Show. The weather is perfect! Previous post: Let the Migration Begin. Next post: Midtown Madness. A new home page. Corrupted WordPress X Theme.
Let the Migration Begin

Let the Migration Begin. March 27, 2015. For the Sandhill Cranes, the Platte River is a brief stop-over to refuel on last season’s corn crop. They are named for their preference to gather on the foliage-free sand banks of the river, as it is collectively safer than the dense vegetation along those banks. Weather Everywhere!

May 9, 2015. No, Climate Change is Just a Myth. The Winter Storm Venus to the west of me, tornados and golf ball sized hail to the south of me and (the season’s first) Tropical Storm Ana hitting the Atlantic shores – all at the same time! And no rain for a parched California. Seared Salmon in Dill Avodaise Sauce with Grilled Asparagus, Red Pepper and Tomato. What’s a guy to do? And a good French wine to ride out the storms. It’s a perfect Netflix night! Next post: Heading Home for the Summer.

Past Thoughts, Images and Observations. Playing with the X Theme. When the folks at Thesis Themes did a major overhaul they sort of lost me. The learning curve was far too steep for a non-coder. I’m still using an older version on my blog, but will switch to X when I master the fundamentals here. Same goes for composites-by-design.com. Sorry Thesis Themes – great product, but not for the masses! Meanwhile I am still at carbonboy.us. This is where I get to play with it! Playing with the X Theme.

A Day in the Life. View from my apartment balcony just before sunrise I actually enjoy the first day of a winter storm it’s quite exhilarating for a brief time. I stocked my cozy little apartment with food and drink last night in the hopes that I could simply work from home. No such luck, as Philadelphia was spared. We only got about five … Read More. Mikey’s Ocean Forward to the Past, Part II. A Day in the Life. Recovered from my mom’s house (she saved everything), my view of the ocean at age seven (thanks Jacques Cousteau) I recall finding this in my mom’s bedroom built-in cabinets, a trove of all things saved, with my sister Kathi, when we were preparing to put the house up for sale. The Blandness of Winter and How Beer Saved the World. A Day in the Life. Those who say they love the change of the seasons are idiots in my humble view So let’s see, it has been a tumultuous two weeks, thus no recent posts. The middle of last week I went in for my first ever stress test, as I wanted to take advantage of my client’s fitness center for fifteen bucks a … Read More.
