Malc in the Burgh: February 2010

http://malcintheburgh.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html

Thursday, 25 February 2010. Blog Exclusive: Green Candidate. My sources have pointed me in the direction of a scoop. The Scottish blogosphere's very own James MacKenzie, of Two Doctors. Fame, has been selected by the Scottish Green Party to contest the constituency of East Lothian at the upcoming Westminster election. Unlike the news article above, I'm going to try and report this news without any mistakes (one Green MSP? And they have James down as 37 - he's not a day over 25! 160;Links to this post.

Malc in the Burgh: September 2010

http://malcintheburgh.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html

Thursday, 2 September 2010. This post is serving two functions. Firstly, it is a thank you to everyone who has read my ramblings over the past three years and voted for me in the Total Politics awards. I'm not folding MitB entirely, but I am recognising that the rate of posting has withered a bit over the past few months, and in that sense, it is all but done. And we hope it will be a collaboration of good quality work (well, each of the three of us made the Total Politics Top 10. 160;Links to this post.

Speaking of Griffin…….. | The Reddest Tory

https://reddesttory.wordpress.com/2009/09/14/speaking-of-griffin

Speaking of Griffin……. Interesting artice from the Beebl. The Reddest Tory notices that Nick Griffin MEP, leader of the British National Party. Has indicated the BNP are auctioning 2 signed Andy McNab books with the intention of donating the proceeds to Help for Heroes. Help for Heroes is a strictly non-political charity, we are only concerned with providing direct, practical support for our wounded servicemen and women,” the charity said in a statement. Nothing heroic about that. Please reconsider.

Thursday, 19 August 2010. I wrote a post in June listing the MSPs who had announced they would stand down in May's Scottish Parliament election, along with a list of those who may be considering it. The list of those who had announced their retirement by that point was:. LD, Caithness, Sutherland and Easter Ross. Con, Glasgow Region. LD, Ross, Skye and Inverness West. Chris Harvie (SNP, Mid Scotland and Fife. Subsequently, the following MSPs have announced they will also stand down:. SNP, Argyll and Bute.

Malc in the Burgh: January 2010

http://malcintheburgh.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html

Friday, 29 January 2010. Actually, what if the Tories win? This is less of a "what if" than my previous post. On Labour winning, but there's some questions I'd like to put in the (likely) event of David Cameron becoming Prime Minister this year. Liam Fox would be an example, or Malcolm Rifkind - who does have experience of the role. However, the latter lost his Scottish sea...Which lea...

The Cardiff Blackbird Project

The Cardiff Blackbird Project. Saturday, 10 May 2014. As of this week we reached double figures for the number of individual blackbirds re-sighted for the year. Bird 10 was BJ, a female blackbird first ringed in 2012. This is our first sighting of her since then so it is good to know she is still with us. Seen on the same day was BB, a male. He was ringed last year, and was seen on several occasions in 2013. BB was had a beak full of worms so has a brood somewhere. Monday, 14 April 2014. This might not b...

I don't know either. Whether you're a season ticket holder at Cardiff City or just a guy that looks out for their results, you'll learn soon enough that disappointment is not too far away. Only we could realise a long awaited dream of entering the biggest league in the world, make a decent start and then sack the man who helped us make that decent start. This ofcourse is the story that the club have sacked head of recruitment Iain Moody and replaced him with Alisher Apsalyamov. You know Alisher yes?
