The random jottings of an Englishwoman in France. Tuesday, 6 May 2014. We have acquired a donkey. I have long hankered after one but never thought I would ever actually own one. Lolita comes to us with a bit of a sad history from a family who can no longer keep her due to ill health. She is utterly lovely and I am in awe of her. I hope we learn to be friends very soon.
