CAREY'N ON: Ready, Set, GROW!!!
http://careyfranklinnic.blogspot.com/2014/03/ready-set-grow.html
Life and thoughts from Carey on the mission field in Nicaragua. Sunday, March 9, 2014. Ready, Set, GROW! Learning how to play Corn Hole during recess. Do we ever really feel ready for the big race, that presentation, test or conversation. The answer rarely is yes! Ready was I ready for this job as the director of NCA Matagalpa? Starting the day off right! NCA Winter Olympics 2014. The school facilities have also expanded with the help of many hands building, painting and donating $. This year we've a...
CAREY'N ON: April 2014
http://careyfranklinnic.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
Life and thoughts from Carey on the mission field in Nicaragua. Friday, April 18, 2014. He is Not Here. I'm in no way saying that what took place on the cross is any less important simply that it is not only there that we find reflections of His sovereignty and love. Where is His presence in the day to day? With eyes wide open I can see His hand at work all around me. Wanting to give Him all the glory here are reflections of His hand moving among us here in Matagalpa. Sara chatting (right) with a parent.
CAREY'N ON: O Come Let Us Adore Him
http://careyfranklinnic.blogspot.com/2014/12/o-come-let-us-adore-him.html
Life and thoughts from Carey on the mission field in Nicaragua. Sunday, December 14, 2014. O Come Let Us Adore Him. O Come Let Us Adore Him. For you alone are worthy! This year has been full of many ups and downs! Celebrations and struggles and through it all He ALONE is worthy. O come let us adore Him. O come let us adore Him. Through great growth in numbers and in unity at NCA this year. O come let us adore Him. On the days when the road seemed so long and hard yet I was not alone. As students who have...
CAREY'N ON: July 2014
http://careyfranklinnic.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Life and thoughts from Carey on the mission field in Nicaragua. Tuesday, July 1, 2014. Stars on our staff. Custodians, guards and IT. We are made for community. God designed us to live life with others in it. not a life of self-sufficiency and solitude. This is a reminder that God so graciously gives me every once in a while to remind me that I can not do it all on my own. "Share the load." He says. "Cast your cares on me and I'll help you.". Elementary World Cup Winners! Here are some of their responses:.

The Nicaragua Russells: Home Again, Home Again....
http://russellsinnicaragua.blogspot.com/2011/06/home-again-home-again.html
Monday, June 13, 2011. Home Again, Home Again. Rig a jig, jig. Cheesy, I know, but that is what's stuck in my head currently. We are comin' home! Beckett is so excited, he smeared beans all over his face! So, I'm praying tonight that I chill out, that I trust the sovereign Lord that is bigger than all of this, and enjoy the fact that I will be in D-town in a day - enjoying A/C, and homemade food, and love from family! Just remember the bumps in the road are just bumps! Youll just hop over them! Di olivia...

The Nicaragua Russells: Rain
http://russellsinnicaragua.blogspot.com/2011/05/rain.html
Sunday, May 15, 2011. The rain has finally come. WOOHOO! I'm pretty sure it's officially the rainy season. As I write this, I'm realizing how funny that probably sounds - to be excited over rain? But rain can mean different things to different people. We live in a concrete house, with a good roof and drainage system. Many people in Nicaragua are not that blessed. The rainy season to them, must bring worry - will my house flood or my things be damaged. Life is not fair. It just isn't. Our Fam of 4! Awesom...

The Nicaragua Russells: August 2010
http://russellsinnicaragua.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Monday, August 30, 2010. The blog doesn't look too hot right now! Designing a blog is not my strong point. Especially while trying to do that in the short time Beckett takes a nap - as well as clean up, shower, finish a Bible study, eat, etc. It will be back to normal soon! Be patient with me! Sunday, August 22, 2010. Ok, I'll blog. 1 My mom got married! If you know my mom, you probably think that is hilarious. It was a really special, intimate wedding and I'm so glad David and I could be there! And this...

The Nicaragua Russells: December 2010
http://russellsinnicaragua.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Friday, December 31, 2010. Currently, Russell baby #2 is in the breech position. :( Sad, I know. Our hopes are to be able to have a natural delivery and not a C-section. However, with having a prior C-section and with this baby being in the wrong position - it's not looking good. So this is my plea that you would pray for this baby to turn. I would love to be able try to deliver naturally and the recovery from a C-section is a beating. That is all. :). Wednesday, December 29, 2010. Our family was kind an...

The Nicaragua Russells: The craziness
http://russellsinnicaragua.blogspot.com/2011/06/craziness.html
Monday, June 6, 2011. I feel like I've said this before, but maybe I haven't. Life in Nicaragua is full. In the states, life is crazy busy and packed. But life here, right now, is very full for us. It's hard to say exactly why, but it is. Maybe these are the reasons why:. It's just limits any major rest time. It's the end of the school year. Which means David has exams to make, exams to give, exams to grade - exams, exams, exams! Just know, it is a ton and takes up so much of his time. Love you all and s...

The Nicaragua Russells: Orange Dress
http://russellsinnicaragua.blogspot.com/2011/05/orange-dress.html
Friday, May 20, 2011. I have not bought any clothes in over a year. No clothes, not a shirt, not shoes, no jeans - nothing. When I lived in the states, I probably bought a piece of clothing once a week. It was most likely from Target. We don't buy any clothes here. For many reasons. 1 There is no Target, so where would I go? 2 I have 2 kids. I don't see how anyone shops with 2 kids. I can just imagine trying on some jeans and Beckett running wildly through the store. Oh, it sounds terrible. Our Fam of 4!

The Nicaragua Russells: Paint!
http://russellsinnicaragua.blogspot.com/2011/05/paint.html
Friday, May 13, 2011. My mom sent down some super fun finger paint for Beckett's birthday and the other day we broke it out! I would not say that he is super interested in crafts quite yet, but we did have fun. Or I should say, he's not interested in sitting for more than 2 minutes. Maybe he will be an artist like his grandpa! Hell love playing in clay! Grandpa stays dirty all the time! We love you Beckett Dean! May 13, 2011 at 6:01 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Our Fam of 4! My baby is 2.

Tuesday, March 30, 2010. Just got these picture from Lesa Engelthaler and Scott Winn while they were here. I love it! And I love him! Sunday, March 28, 2010. Scott, and Sarah, and Lesa, and Arica, and Melody, oh my! Last week (I'm just now getting to this, because life with a 10 month old is sometimes busy! We had some super duper fun visitors! Scott and Sarah Winn were in Honduras with a mission trip from Woodcreek, our home church. At the tail end of their trip, they flew in to see us! We love you Winns!
