Thursday, 21 August 2014. A recent home project: a reclaimed metal light. I cut away the main unadorned sections of a metal gate, retained the interesting bits, mounted the leftovers on a eucalyptus plinth and wired in a chrome lampholder with some striking round fabric flex — it was all completed with an enamelled shade.
