May 12, 2015. I’m participating in the Ten on Tuesday over at Caroleknits.net. I love the topics she comes up with but I usually don’t get to it fast enough. Ironically, I was motivated to get to the procrastination topic in a timely manner. So here are 10 things I need to stop putting off, and my little Procrastination Enforcer to keep me on track. 1 Cleaning out my email inbox. Way to much junk in there. 3 Work on some jewelry projects. I hear them calling me. 10 Order my new dresser for the master bed...

January 6, 2015. I lose my keys all the time. All. The. Time. I never put them in the same place twice. I have a spot where they should go, but… In fact, the funny thing is that on Monday, I couldn’t find them because they were put in that away spot. I found them by using my new Tile. They were a Christmas gift from Bill, at my request. The downside of the Tile. 8:46 pm / permalink. No comments yet. Be the first. Email (will not be shown). Where I Find Inspiration. Ten on Tuesday. The Thursday Edition. July 2, 2015. Today’s “ten” from caroleknits. Is 10 things I love about my home. And while I’m a little late to the party, this is a topic I had to post about. So here goes. 1 My neighbors. We have lucked into a great little community here. Not everyone is the best neighbor in the world, and we don’t know all our neighbors, but we have made friends with several families that have made living here a great experience. 6 The bones of our house. We rented before we b...

Luck Of The Irish. March 17, 2015. Happy St. Patrick’s Day! I thought I would share some pictures of my side yard, which is my pride and joy. It’s the part of the yard that I see from the kitchen, and it was so blah when we first moved in. It’s taken three years for it to really come together. Every year I make some tweaks. I leave you with this beautiful Irish Blessing: Wherever you go and whatever you do, May the luck of the Irish be there with you. 5:35 pm / permalink. March 21st, 2015 1:04 pm. Our do...

Getting Off My Butt. July 12, 2009. When I worked my day job, I would dream of all the things I could accomplish if I didn’t have said day job. I would have time for my etsy shop. Time to sew myself a new wardrobe, time to knit my stash, time to finish my needlepoint Christmas stocking (and the hundred other canvases I own), time to read through the unbelievably large pile of books in my queue. And for now, I don’t have that day job, and what have I accomplished? 11:53 pm / permalink. May 1, 2009. I̵...

January 1, 2015. I hope that you had a safe and happy start to your new year. I certainly did. I was organizing my yarn at midnight. Bill was doing something on his computer. We lead an exciting life here at Casa Napier! The last two years I used one of the Erin Condren planners. This year, I opted for something new:. A cute mini binder. At Target ($6.49),. At Staples ($7.29 x 2 sets),. On Etsy ($14),. On Etsy ($4),. From the Container Store ($7.99),. So that’s my planner for 2015. 8:57 pm / permalink.

April 27, 2015. Anyway, I recently finished two fantastic books. And those books have renewed my appreciation for the library. When I go to the library, it’s always with Joshua and I have about two minutes to peruse the new fiction before he gets bored. That’s how I found one of the books. The other, I found on my library’s electronic version of new fiction. PS The pictures really have nothing to do with the topic, but I can’t post without a photo. 8:12 am / permalink. No comments yet. January 5, 2007. I am a Chicago girl at heart. I love Chicago. My favorite things to do include:. I love the Marshall Fields on State Street. It’s huge! Michigan Avenue is beautiful and has tons of shopping too. Lincoln Park: There’s the lake, there’s the zoo. There’s great restaurants. If you go to the zoo, please give my regards to the polar bears. Boat tours: I love Wendella Boats. Wrigley Field: I saved the best for last. I grew up in the friendly confines. I am and will always be a Cubs. Our dog, CJ...
