Journal of my weight loss journey. Thursday, December 29, 2011. New Year, New Start. In addition to this loss, I was notified that I will potentially be losing my job in the next 5 months. My future remains uncertain for at least the next several weeks or, possibly, a couple of months. Another test of my ability to deal with whatever lies ahead - but I will persevere. I always do. I was under the care of a bariatrics physician at the time and was able to shed over 50 pounds in about 3 months. To make matters even worse, I violated the cardinal drive thru rule this morning as I was running late to get to work but needed breakfast.
