Only two weeks- that's how little time has passed since my last blog post, and yet here I am at it again, as promised. At the rate I'm going I'm all set to beat my old record of, oh, approximately four blog posts per year. And they said it couldn't be done. Or maybe I said it couldn't. Either way I'm doing this thing. For real this time, y'all. Live, Write, Thrive.

Niki Moss: February 2013
http://www.nikimoss.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
This is the OFFICIAL WEBSITE of an UNOFFICIAL AUTHOR. Monday, February 11, 2013. A Writing Lesson From the Grammy Awards:. I watched the 55th annual Grammy Awards Show last night along with 55 billion other people. I'm not entirely sure that's an accurate viewership figure but I don't really feel like looking it up. And besides, it's got to be somewhere in that ballpark given that The Grammys show is truly the best of all the shows during this awards-saturated season. How could it not be? Interesting fac...

http://www.nikimoss.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
This is the OFFICIAL WEBSITE of an UNOFFICIAL AUTHOR. Wednesday, April 10, 2013. I recently did something I've wanted (needed) to do for some time now: I took a research trip to Seattle! My YA novel manuscript, Potholes on the Road to Nirvana,. Is a contemporary road-trip adventure with a rock-and-roll twist. The story takes place primarily in Seattle, LA, and Burnt Creek (a fictional small town outside of Flagstaff, A ri zona. But otherwise, I find fictional towns to be. Tricky. I've been to Seattle...

Niki Moss: FAVE FINDS: Resilience
http://www.nikimoss.com/2014/10/fave-finds-resilience.html
This is the OFFICIAL WEBSITE of an UNOFFICIAL AUTHOR. Thursday, October 16, 2014. Look out interwebs, I am back! Yes, I realize it has been a while (WAY too long) since I've posted anything on my blog, but that doesn't mean I can't jump back in here and revitalize this old thing any time I like, does it? No sane person decides to do that to themselves, do they? But anyway, due to these. issues, I've barely sat down at my keyboard at all even though I had just begun to launch into a massive revision b...

Niki Moss: FAVE FINDS: QUERY TRACKER
http://www.nikimoss.com/2014/04/friday-finds-query-tracker.html
This is the OFFICIAL WEBSITE of an UNOFFICIAL AUTHOR. Friday, April 25, 2014. FAVE FINDS: QUERY TRACKER. Today's FIND is an oldie but goodie. Query Tracker has been around for as long as I can remember. It's an online database of nearly 1300 agents, but it's also so much more. Be surprised because you already know how maddening it is to simply NOT KNOW. And no matter how long I stare at my trusty spreadsheet, it is never going to give me a window into each agent's process the way Query Tracker can. Socie...

A Kid Lit Blog: Just a biopsy...
https://stephaniegeckle.blogspot.com/2017/01/just-biopsy.html
A Kid Lit Blog. Monday, January 9, 2017. Today is the big day. I'm going in for a biopsy. On a tumor. In my brain. I remind myself that it is just a biopsy. And not a complete removal where they open up the entire skull. Just a drill and a screw. And then just a needle. Inserted into that to swab around. Just 2-3 hours. In the operating room. Could be worse…. Which reminds me of two great books, by the way:. The Yiddish Version (I LOVE IT! But it could be intermediate (2). Back to business. Busyness.
