Ten years ago, if you had asked me whether I would homeschool my children, you may have received your answer in the form of a sound. That’s because I believed homeschool to be on the same level as child abuse. Some time over the past decade I changed my mind. Let me make this perfectly clear, I don’t think that you should homeschool. But for now, I know that I should. I learned about family.

Last August, we asked Ducky if she would rather have a birthday party, or a family trip to the ocean for her birthday in September. She chose ocean (a girl after my own heart). We have always gone to cold beaches as a family, so David and I decided to give a warm beach a try! David took off a couple extra days from work and we planned a long weekend in the Santa Cruz/Monterey area.
