Alex, Carly and a baby. Friday, June 22, 2012. 30 Week Midwife Appointment. We had our 30 week (or, to be exact, 29 weeks and 3 days) appointment yesterday! It went well. My blood tests from our 28 week appointment came back with some good results:. 1) I have no issue processing sugars. Yay! 2) My hemoglobin levels were EXCELLENT. Alex, Carly and a baby. Wednesday, August 1, 2012. An Unexpected Turn of Events. Last I reported, I had a routine midwife appointment yesterday evening. When we arrived they checked all the normal things they usually do every time and we talked about how close labor is getting! A couple things came up that were concerning:. 1) My blood pressure was significantly higher than it has been (it has been pesky for a few weeks but yesterday was a new record). I will keep you posted on any new developments.

Alex, Carly and a baby. Wednesday, August 15, 2012. Today Elleri is at 37 weeks and she started off the day wonderfully! She took her first three feeds of the day completely on her own without having to use the feeding tube! The rest of the day (so far) have all been partials, but it was always more than half - so happy! She has been gaining weight and is now officially 4 lbs, 1.3 oz. Alex, Carly and a baby. Tuesday, July 31, 2012. Feels great to be so far along.Still a little terrified to give birth! Here's a belly shot from today - sorry if you don't like bare belly shots. I promise not to do too many! We have a midwife appointment tonight that I'm looking forward to. My blood pressure has been rising a little bit - nothing too extreme but slightly above normal. And as everyone will tell you, waiting hours on end at a government run office is pure bliss. Heaven on Earth, really.
