Trout | Vivacious Happenings
https://carlykruse.wordpress.com/2008/07/17/trout
Life in Bosna i Hercegovina. Let the river flow. After a hard week of renovating some classrooms in the local school, some locals invited us (20 Americans) out to the river for an afternoon of rest. The river was gorgeous! I spent the afternoon playing volleyball in a field nearby. It was fun playing in another language. The trout was delicious. It was smothered in garlic and butter. Yum. By carlykruse on July 17, 2008. 4 Responses to “Trout”. Miss you Carly Kruse. Said this on July 19, 2008 at 5:44 am.

Kula | Vivacious Happenings
https://carlykruse.wordpress.com/2008/08/02/kula
Life in Bosna i Hercegovina. I finally made it to the top of the mountain! The Kula is behind me in the back. We made it to the Kula and took a rest. I was able to see all of Livno, even the surrounding villages. This is the town of Livno, I live on the upper left side. After we tried finding different parts of town, like my house, we walked down the other side of the mountain. The lake 15 minutes from my house. Pita | Vivacious Happenings
https://carlykruse.wordpress.com/2008/07/08/pita
Life in Bosna i Hercegovina. For all of you food lovers, this blog is for you. Pita, delicious pita, is one of the traditional meals Bosnians are very proud of. It is layers of thin pie crust filled with one of four ingredients: seasoned meat, spinach, potato, and cheese. The only two ingredients that are mixed are spinach and cheese, which happens to be my favorite. I have asked them why they don’t mix any other ingredients together (for example meat and cheese) but they think that is a ludicrous idea.

Dreaming of Possibilities: living for 'the great' vs. 'the good that can work'
http://clzbylut.blogspot.com/2010/06/living-for-great-vs-good-that-can-work.html
Thursday, June 24, 2010. Living for 'the great' vs. 'the good that can work'. Sometimes in the midst of all our planning, devising, scheming, and perfection seeking - we forget to dream. We neglect opportunities to dance, laugh, smile, and sing - we forget to imagine and believe for the unknown, the unseen, the unexpected. How beautiful it is to live in anticipation of something great - how beautiful it is to live for the KINGDOM! Lord, yes or no! I don't know what to do." Silence. I love this.and I ...
Dreaming of Possibilities: inspiration
http://clzbylut.blogspot.com/2010/06/inspiration.html
Wednesday, June 30, 2010. What touches the very depths of your heart? Is it new life? The passing of old? So much is set before us that may liven our hearts. Yet so often we miss it. We trudge our way through the dance of our day,. Never once caring to lift our foot from it sorry place,. Never once giggling and delighting in an unexpected twirl. We moan and groan, complain, and hope for the next day,. While the present still remains. Our hearts are walled in with schedules, agendas, meetings,. Silence th...

Dreaming of Possibilities: February 2010
http://clzbylut.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, February 25, 2010. The pesky little tick. One critter in particular which I was not over fond of was the 'tick'. People talk about ticks and you think nothing of them until they're on you. The worst part about a tick is that you don't always recognize its presence right away. A tick can jump, leap or cling to you at a moment's notice and until you realize it, you're stuck with the consequences - which if not treated in a timely manner can lead to sickness and perhaps death. As Christians, we al...

Life in Bosna i Hercegovina. Wood, Plums, and Sour Grapes. Bull;September 7, 2008 • Leave a Comment. There wood piles all over Livno as people prepare for winter. Plums in an Abundance! Ever since I arrived in May, the people of Livno have been preparing for winter. Throughout the whole town are stacks of wood, either huge logs that need to be chopped, or pieces for the fire that have already been chopped. I haven’t heard of any thief’s anyways. What ever shall we do? This time it was different. Soon one...

I'm a spanish-loving Computer Science student at Southern Methodist Univeristy. I enjoy taking personality tests, the color purple, and spending too much money at Starbucks. One day, I plan on living in a Spanish speaking country, but for now I reside with 2.5 roommates in an awesome apartment in Dallas, TX.
