Sunday, January 16, 2011. A Wood Stork looking for something for breakfast. Great Egret in flight. I am not sure what this bird is called, but I am not finished trying to find out. Sitting on the dead branch is an interesting bird called an Anhinga. It looked like it was enjoying the beautiful sunny morning. This vulture looks like he is waiting for something to die. Nothing fancy- less than $125 dollars for the chairs and fire bowl, but already the backyard is a gathering space for the kids after homework. Once they can play on the grass that will only increase. Friday, December 4, 2009. I am now able to download some of our pictures from our Thanksgiving vacation. The first ones are pictures of the model townhome. The Forbes at Siesta Beach. The alligators at Myakka River State Park. The Vultures, Turkey and Black, flying over the trees at Myakka River Park. Dolphins swimming just off shore. The gulf coast beaches are so beautiful and fun to swim in. I love walking along the beach gathering shells. Stew getting Nate wet at Holmes Beach. Links to this post.

Wednesday, August 25, 2010. It has been forever since I was able to post anything on the blog mainly because my trusty old computer finally bit the dust. I have been unable to download any pictures and what fun is a blog without pictures. Here are some pictures from the camping trip that Chelley and Jon, Cheryl and Jason and Ben and Spencer and I took a few weeks back over by Bear Lake. I'm glad Tinkerbelle came with us. First, the boys and I played in the snow we got in ABQ last Friday- nearly half an inch, and enough for a two-hour delay. Next, the kids at Temple Square earlier this week. Pour a glass about half full of white vinegar. Put in a raw egg. Leave for a couple of days. (Ours worked in about 24 hours.). When you take the egg out it feels like rubber! To celebrate the last day off until Thanksgiving (the kids and I both have some days off before then, but Labor Day is the last joint holiday until we eat turkey), we decided to join some friends from the ward in a trip to the Pecos National Historical Park in northern New Mexico. Wednesday, July 22, 2009. Roller Skate on the loose! This Roller Skate Car. This pulled in next to me at Albertsons tonight. I have to smile. EVERY time I see one of these adorable little cars (roller skates). It only uses one quarter of a parking space ( HA HA. It's a little space saver. Barb and I saw one in SLC. Parked like a motorcycle would park (it backed into the curb, and was no longer, than the width, of the regular car it was parked in front of). Just imagine the cute paint. Patty and Jim Conan.
