Thursday, February 23, 2006. I have never been here alone before,"' I confessed to the guy behind the counter handing me the Glock. He would go back with me and make sure I was ok. I'm not sure if I was relieved or not. It felt more like another layer of pressure but I couldn't tell him no. When I finished firing the fifty rounds, I left the range area and entered the store. It was filled with male customers. "Excuse me" I said. My female voice surprised them and like the Red Sea, they parted...Sunday, F...

Sunday, July 30, 2006. Shooting on a Sunday. It was hot. Everything is hot in Vegas right now, including the range. I was still thrilled to be there with my friend and so happy to be shooting once again. It has been way too long since I have been and life has been busy to say the least. Still, it was a lesson in why I shouldn't wait between visits to the range. I really didn't shoot that well. Posted by redmemory1 at 9:57 PM. Links to this post. Friday, July 21, 2006. Wednesday, November 30, 2005. I've always held that blame gets you nowhere. In my mind, you assess the problem, find a solution and move on. Blame has no place in the fixing of things, or so I had always thought. Today, I had a bit of a realization after I left my counselor's office. Isn't that always the way? The hardest work happens right after you leave the damn place. Someone should have seen something. They should have noticed. Malicious? Posted by redmemory1 at 4:06 PM. Links to this post. Just a bunch of random babble while I try to find my soul. Obama vs. JFK. February 21, 2012. John F. Kennedy’s we can do the impossible speech. SOME PEOPLE ASK, WHY GO TO THE MOON? THEY MAY WELL ASK, WHY CLIMB THE HIGHEST MOUNTAIN? WHY 35 YEARS AGO, FLY THE ATLANTIC? WHY DOES RICE PLAY TEXAS? At this point the crowd which contained many university alumni, faculty, and students started cheering. But JFK knew better than to slow down; without a pause he continued:. WE CHOOSE TO GO TO THE MOON. Public Safet...

Our Decision to Homeschool: Part THREE: Continued....
http://ourdecisiontohomeschool.blogspot.com/2010/08/part-three-continued.html
Our Decision to Homeschool. 8220;A while back, several bloggers posted links to a piece entitled Why We Banned Legos. Published at an education site, Rethinking Schools Online. One of the people I sent it to was Sarah, "Stickwick Stapers" (now Doctor Stapers) of Carnaby Fudge. The George Orwell Daycare Center. OK, there's one vote for "not excessive"! And the rest were about the same. It has been my position for some time that the disaster that is America's public education system is not an accident....
