Make sure the areas around chimneys and vents are clear and free of any obstructions. Clean gutters surrounding the roof, make sure downspouts are angled away from your home, and are free of any obstructions. Check for gaps around windows and doors and fill any gaps with expand foam insulation. Drain the water from garden hoses and DON’T FORGET to turn off the outside water valve.
