Once more with feeling. Monday, June 07, 2010. I have recognized a really disturbing fact about myself. I'm not sure I can explain it very well. I don't like what I have learned about myself. I think it must have roots in my selfishness and self-centeredness. I'm so vain that I don't want others to see my true self. I'm not nearly as smart as I try to portray, nor am I as tough or composed. I'm 59 years old. What does it matter? You would think maturity would have shined a lite on this before now.

Once more with feeling. Friday, February 05, 2010. She was really excited about the opportunity but was a little apprehensive this morning prior to boarding her flight. Once more with feeling. Sunday, May 31, 2009. Yesterday, I had a list of activities I wanted to accomplish. I took each one, and even though I recognized a little push back from my lazy self each time I started, I persevered and finished what I wanted to. It was a good day. I felt accomplishment at the end of the day. Why can't I always do that? Sometimes my lazy self wins out and I don't get anything I want to do done. I'm going to have to give this some thought and figure a way to win. Feel it effects ...

Once more with feeling. Sunday, February 28, 2010. My daughter, whom in my previous blog was off to Ghana, is now home from Ghana. There was much anticipation prior to her going. It seemed like she had plans of going for a long time. We talked several times and as the departure grew near our talks grew more frequent and the anticipation built. Once more with feeling. Saturday, January 02, 2010. Ephesians is a great part of a great book. God's word, the Bible. I know God will reveal his Son, Christ Jesus, to his people told of early in chapter 1. Those chosen before the foundations of the world. It is such a blessed mystery and such a blessing when God makes that revelation to our hearts and minds. So, hooray for Tebow and the Gators for a great season.
