Monday, September 10, 2012. Wowso I really dropped the ball here didn't I! Mom had her last chemo a few weeks back. She did have to postpone her last two rounds for low platelet counts, but she got all six in! She is feeling good and looking forward to her hair growing back in. She says it's all white. Friday, April 13, 2012. Mom got fitted for her wig this morning. She said she will have dad cut her hair tonight. Yikes! She won't get her wig until Tuesday, so I guess she'll just have to tough it out until then. So glad her friend Marsha could go with her. The wig is a "nice one." Mom laughed that it was a bit expensive, but when you add up what she's going to save on hair cut and color for the next year.it more than makes up for it! Hope everyone has a great weekend! Wednesday, May 9, 2012. I wish there was more to say, but.well, I'm pleased there's not more to say! Mom continues to do awesome! She worked 4 in a row after chemo, three the next week, four this week, and will have her third round Monday. Continued prayers for stamina. Thursday, April 26, 2012. I'll make it quick. Today is 3 in a row for mom working. She also works tomorrow. I'll tell you, after working in a unit for years, 4 in a row is brutal for any nurse - let alone a nurse on chemo. But, she seems to be doing well. She said she was pretty tired last night, but after talking with her briefly this morning she seemed chipper as ever. Praise the Lord! Monday, April 23, 2012. The infusion went well. Thursday, March 29, 2012. So far, so good. Mom feels great. Says she doesn't have any symptoms whatsoever. They will put her on 3 days of zofran and decadron as well as phenergan for back up. The trifecta for helping out nausea. They discourage taking Advil/Ibuprofen/Motrin as it can cause issues with clotting, but if she is experiencing any pain, they are more than happy to provide a script for something stronger. Sunday, December 16, 2012. People have been asking how the adoption is going lately. Our home study is done. We spent a lot of time on it, and it took a lot of physical and emotional energy, but it's done! We hope to spend our time of waiting in prayer, and learning as much as we can about Taiwan. Monday, January 16, 2012. Today Isaac is 2 months old! He loves bath time. We use it a lot in the evening to prolong his awake time and regulate his schedule. If he's tired too soon and fussy, we put him in the tub and he lights up. Tonight he was splashing the water with his feet and doing a little 2 month baby giggle. Isaac is rocking a pretty good double chin! He eats well and it shows! I'm not sure that he's as big as Andrew was, but he holds his own! He's a happy baby and the whole family loves him!

Monday, August 27, 2012. I didn't get around to posting about Isaac at 8 months, so here's an update on the last 2 months. As you can see, the biggest transition is that he learned to crawl. He is EVERYWHERE now. It seems that I have forgotten how mobile these children can be.
