This was the Sea Shepherd’s 10th Campaign down in the Southern Ocean Whale Sanctuary and it was named OPERATION RELENTLESS. Another year of relentless intervening with the illegal operations of the Japanese whaling fleet in a recognized whale sanctuary. I was the M/Y Bob Barker producer for the show Whale Wars. By Carolina A Castro. Aug 10, 2013. I spend a lot of time in central Florida because I hang glide at the Wallaby Ranch Hang Gliding club. Wallaby is located right at the Green Swamp, an area abundant with the Florida Sandhill Crane (Grus canadensis pratensis). They are monogamous and you can often see the couples performing their courtship dances or a family with their young chick. I observed more cranes than usual at here at the Ranch this year. I have been working for over a year documenting the story of the Vaquita Porpoise of Mexico’s Gulf of California. Tuesday, April 10, 2012. Operation Divine Wind 2011/2012. Sea Shepherd's 8th Antarctic Campaign down in Southern Ocean. Every year SSCS goes down to Antarctica to fight illegal whaling. There is a fleet of whalers from Japan that goes inside the Southern Whale Sanctuary and hunts up to 1035 whales each season, including the endangered Fin Whale, which is the second biggest animal in the world. I have been a photographer on board the vessel M/Y Bob Barker on Operation DIVINE WIND. Here is the link.
