Friday, April 11, 2014. This week was a good one for cooking! Monday I made french onion soup with cheesy croutons! It was delicious and I used the recipe from The Bonne Femme Cookbook by Wini Moranville. I will admit I should have used better beef broth, that is what makes the soup really fabulous. I used bouillon cubes because it's all I had! I also love that it includes fresh basil since I am nursing a basil plant on my balcony. And the cheese sticks recipe is here. Tuesday, April 1, 2014. The point of my writing this post is to illustrate one frustration of living in France. (I would say this frustration might be exclusive to Americans, but I'm really not positive.) Like I said, my mom and brother came to visit last week. We had a great time! They also stocked my pantry with lots of American products I miss (sugar cookie mix, cake mix, oreos, bisquick, wheat thins)! French kids are my favorite. They are so cute on their razor scooters.
