The Jobe Family: Chicago!
http://michiganjobes.blogspot.com/2011/10/chicago.html
Monday, October 10, 2011. We are thrilled that my parents recently moved to Evanston (just north of Chicago) after 13 years living in NYC. It's so nice to have them close enough- four hours away- that we can drive for a weekend visit! We did that this weekend. It just so happened that Michigan was playing Northwestern in Michigan's first away football game this season, so we figured we'd better see it! Michigan won (GO BLUE! Here are some pics of our weekend. October 11, 2011 at 10:56 PM.

Thursday, August 4, 2011. I'm actually posting something! I knew I'd been neglecting my blog this summer, but I didn't realize I hadn't posted anything in May, June or July! Therefore, I'll do a quick update of what we've been up to for the last three months. Grandma and Grandpa came to visit! We took them to the Toledo Zoo so they could ride the infamous zoo train (Andrew always talks about it! With us. We loved having them here! We celebrated our 10th anniversary! We said a sad "see ya later" to our de...

The Jobe Family: August 2011

Monday, August 29, 2011. I've had a bug. I'm pretty sure this is partly due to the fact that I joined Pinterest. A virtual bulletin board where people can share their own collections of ideas. Several of the people I follow have do-it-yourself boards, and the creative juices just got flowing in me! A couple weeks ago I made a cake for our friend Noah's first birthday. His parents call him "monkey," and asked me to design it based on Noah's room decor. Here's a picture of the inspiration:. And here are th...

The Jobe Family: January 2011
http://michiganjobes.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Friday, January 14, 2011. New Year, New Phase. I hope all of you had a great holiday season and are back in the full swing of things. As much as I love the holidays, it is indeed nice to get back in to a regular routine! We got our Christmas decor put away amazingly early and quickly this year, and putting everything away (in addition to finding places for all our new, acquired gifts) really put me in the mood to go through everything, re-organize, and purge! And- put away the crib! She was SO excited to...

The Jobe Family: November 2011

Sunday, November 13, 2011. Thursday, November 10, 2011. The kids were SO excited for Halloween this year! They decided pretty early on that they would dress as Mario and Luigi (from the Super Mario Bros. video games). Well actually, initially they both wanted to be Luigi, but then I think Amelia convinced Andrew he should be Mario since he was shorter. Anyway, the costumes were very easy to make and came out looking great! Now if you'll excuse me, I'd better get a head start on cleaning.
