She trained as a General Nurse in 1985 and as a Midwife in 1986 where she spent 25 years in practice. She has also worked with a Chiropractor since 2006 learning about and treating musculo-skeletal disorders. As a Nurse, Carolyn worked on a Stoke rehabilitation unit, a gynaecology ward, a dental, ear nose and throat ward and also with plastic surgery patients.
