Everyone knows that becoming a parent has the power to profoundly change you, but it's amazing to look back and see it. As with any other life experience, the opportunity to change is granted to everyone but not everyone takes it. I try to force myself to not just survive, but really experience it all the way. And be changed by it. I accept help more readily.

They were thrilled and loved holding him. Poor Maddie sobbed when she had to leave. The good news was by the next morning we were discharged and home by lunch. Coming home is always the best feeling. The girls meeting Oliver. Tyler and his brood. Getting ready to go home. Oliver is, by far, our fairest baby. I love the name. ;-). Busan, South Korea.

In our country it is impolite to discuss politics most of the time. Being politically involved is considered naive at best and a serious character flaw at worst. People who do it are often angry and ill-informed. The problem is that the more politics becomes a "dirty" subject, the fewer people are running the country.
