Solar Eclipse Timelapse and Video. I had the chance to film the complete solar eclipse, since I am living in the path of totality. On Monday, August 21st, 2017, I shot timelapse of the eclipse using my Nikon camera and an older 210 mm lens. I also shot video using my Panasonic camera at 1080/30p. We had perfect weather conditions for the eclipse - not a cloud in the sky. I used a solar filter for the timelapse except for the time of totality. For the video, I only shot the totality.
