One woman's quest to the top of a mountain. (Really any mountain will do.). Monday, August 26, 2013. Better than Gatorade at motivating runs. I'm not sure why I gave up half-way through what was supposed to be a ten-miler a few weeks back. I wasn't cramping or dehydrated. No soreness plagued my feet and knees. But there I was, approaching mile six, when I just quit. This is hardly exercise science, but I figure that if I can't finish a marathon, I have no business trying to haul myself up a mountain.
