I’m not struggling to find a Fabulous Thing to write about each day, in fact sometimes I have more than one good contender. I am finding myself having a difficult time with what I’m. 3 Responses to “A Meta Moment”. April 28, 2010 at 1:02 am. I’m so glad you posted that. And that’s something to admire. Enter ...

8230;because each day has at least one. 04082010 From Seed to Plant to…? April 17, 2010. 8212; onefabulousthing @ 9:16 pm. Today, a few of my seeds started sprouting. It looks like a 5th grade science fair project on my front windowsill, with all of these cups that have seeds and dirt in them in different stages of growth. The cucumbers were first, a variety called (appropriately enough) Early Russian. In addition to the Early Russian cucumbers, I have in the works:. Roma Rio Grande Tomatoes. Watching th...

Family recipes and the stories behind them. Skip to primary content. Kitchen Basics: Hard-Boiled Eggs. July 29, 2014. Pretty quiet around here just now- it’s mid to late summer and I’m working hard to keep my mind in the moment– it is STILL summer, despite the feeling that it is almost over. I’m trying to work out as often as I can, to hang with the kids (my oldest is in a day camp this week and it’s breaking both our hearts! And to be in the pool as much as possible. I tried the thumb tack method. Basic...

Yesterday, January 27, was National Chocolate Cake Day. I wasn’t feeling all that well so couldn’t celebrate this holiday appropriately. But today? Today we made a cake. I used Ina Garten. 8216;s cake and frosting recipe. It was all going well. My helper was fascinated. While they baked, we did some clean-up. Looks okay, right? I mean dark...

Stumbling Toward Enlightenment: Attack of the Killer Boobs
http://stumblingtowardenlightenment.blogspot.com/2011/08/attack-of-killer-boobs.html
Monday, August 22, 2011. Attack of the Killer Boobs. After a preliminary appointment with my doctor, faxed referrals and more scheduling, I'm finally standing in the mammography room. Not so bad- a bit of squishing, arranging, more smashing- whatever, just tell me what this thing is! Fatty deposit. After three years of breastfeeding and a bout of mastitis, it should be no surprise. A few clustered calcifications to check back on in 6 months and I'm good to go. So, so very good. Attack of the Killer Boobs.

Stumbling Toward Enlightenment: September 2010
http://stumblingtowardenlightenment.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, September 21, 2010. I wrote my Mom an email today. Only now do I realize what my Nina told me in the days after my mom's death is true- that grief never really goes away. At the time she told me that, I thought,. My second thought was,. That can't be true. All the books clearly state that grief has a one-year average shelf life. Four years out now, and I can attest to the fact that my Nina was right all along. It never really goes away, does it? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
