Like grabbing coffee just to hear the person in front of you pre-paid for your order? Or if you're a mess like me, being surprised with a holiday your office is closed for? In Japan over 600 manhole. Covers have been "recreated" into a burst of art. What a nice way to brighten up your day. Lighting can be $ , so I was thrilled to see these modern. Marvels at under $100.

Thursday, September 2, 2010. The doctor's office called me on Monday and the results are in! 1:10,000 chance for down syndrome and 1:10,000 chance for trisomy 18. I think this means baby is looking pretty healthy! I'll go in for a follow up blood draw in a few weeks to receive detailed and conclusive results. So far, so good. :-). Monday, April 20, 2009. Case of the Mondays. Today started out as a real bummer. I learned that I was not shorted any pay from my previous job. I was paid out for it 2 weeks ago and indeed, all I earned was approximately $100. Incredible strike to the ego. It's incredibly difficult when you go from a two income household to one and on top of that you have your bills. They never go away. Ever. Saturday, April 18, 2009. We came across many animals (lost dogs and ducks crossing the street! I am so relieved.

Wednesday, October 28, 2009. I can't believe it. J and I are almost at the 1 year mark of marriage. It went by so fast and it's hard to believe we were stressing about last minute details this time last year. Our first year has been so good and for those who say your first year is the most difficult, I hope it's true! If it were up to me, I would think the most difficult year of marriage would be when I carry my first child. I can't imagine myself being the happiest camper. Tuesday, October 6, 2009.

Monday, August 30, 2010. Ever since I learned I can no longer indulge in hot dogs, sausages and bacon, I've been devastated. I knew finding the "mommy-to-be" version was going to be a battle. Over the weekend, I had a taste for hot dogs and knew I had to have some since my mission to find some at Whole Foods went bad several days earlier. My sister and I were at Target (our usually sisterly bonding time is spent here) and what did I find? I was the happiest girl at this point and they are delicious!

Thursday, May 14, 2009. Wow, it's been an incredibly long time. Almost a month later and I've forgotten to update my blog. I'm 2 days from my 27th birthday, which is unbelievable. I am old. I didn't think I'd actually say this to myself while still in my 20s but there is so much more I hope to do before I hit 30. John was able to add me to his medical insurance and that is a huge help. Being married definitely has it's benefits. *wink*. He received his rabies shot (now good for 3 years! 7 weeks, 5 days.
