Into the Great Wide Open: Barcelona
http://grantandmaren.blogspot.com/2013/09/barcelona.html
Into the Great Wide Open. Sunday, September 29, 2013. Can't get enough of these narrow European streets. There's just nothing like them in the states. Especially in Oklahoma! This is the street that our apartment was on. It had the cutest little balcony and was located close to the gothic district. Barcelona, Day 1. We rode the metro over to the Sagrada Familia. It is the craziest cathedral designed by Gaudi. You walk up the stairs from the metro and BAM! What an incredible sight! This was part of the cl...

Tuesday, February 15, 2011. Today in clinical I had a patient who was cranky, short-tempered,. And not so pleased with us.and wasn't afraid to express it. Usually when this happens, you can take it as an indicator. Of what the rest of the day will be like with them. And it's so easy to put a label on someone after something. Like that happens, and you can't help but dread going into their room. But today, we [ the other nursing student and I. Practice patience and empathy with her. This melts my heart!

The Toolsons: April 2015

Over a month after closing on our house, we are actually moving in. We've been so busy getting it ready, and to be honest, we are going to be living in the middle of the work for a few more weeks after moving in. But we are really excited. I had a girls day with London today since my sweet SIL Rachel took Ty. We packed up the house and then ran house errands (not an ideal girls day), but London loved the attention and lack of attacking from Ty. She was my good helper:. We can do this!

The Flake Family: September 2013
http://darlandjane.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Wednesday, September 11, 2013. Living with the Seeley Family. Josh and Will have a few super hero outfits, Abigail thought the masks were pretty cool:. Abigail and Zach are just four months apart and had a good time together:. One day I had all the kids in our van (Zach is in the very back behind Abigail). It was quite the party! Don't worry we were parked when I took this). Ethan would often be happy outside so most days after work Darl would go sit outside with him. Abigail watching their board game:.

The Flake Family: July 2013
http://darlandjane.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
Friday, July 5, 2013. Ethan and Baby Food. We started giving Ethan baby food after he turned 6 months. He DOES NOT like it, at all. In fact, it makes him cry. Hard. Abigail really liked baby food but not Ethan so far. Abigail will sit there and tell him its good and to eat and she'll let me know when I need to wipe his messy face. Cute girl. Not that I like to see my children cry, but I find this progression of pictures kind of amusing:. I think this was day 2 of baby food:. Can we say dramatic?

Thursday, November 7, 2013. While in Utah for the family reunion I was able to get together with two awesome friends of mine, Meghan and Melanie. We were all in the same singles ward in Virginia (plus Melanie is Darl's cousin) and dated our husbands around the same time. We met at a park with our kids, it was so great to see them! Meghan, Sam, Eliza and Melanie:. The babies hanging out:. Here we are without the toddlers, Carson and Abigail (playing on the playground):. It was so fun to see them! One afte...

Being the Bells...: January 2011
http://timmyandkemari.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, January 30, 2011. Belle vs. Bell. I feel like this comparison is upsetting. I did NOT used to let myself go like this. The point is that I'd like to make Belle and Bell more similar. First, I need to work out. I noticed this today when I got out of the shower. Second, I need to stop being a lazy bum. I probably ought to start doing my hair once in a while. Good idea? Third, Belle reads a lot. Remember when she was reading by the fountain ( "OH! It's my favorite part because you SEEE! Fourth and L...

Saturday, April 19, 2014. We hosted Thanksgiving last year in our new home. It was fun to have space to host family! Here I am with the Turkey:) We've cooked turkey before but it was more nerve wracking to cook it for a bunch of people. Ethan hanging out in the kitchen while we cooked dinner:. Darl's homemade cranberry sauce:. Homemade crockpot mashed potatoes. Yum. This is making me hungry. Our family Thanksgiving picture:. Jenny, Mary and Grandma Ruth:. Mary and Ethan before his bed time:.
