As For Me and My House. We shall serve the LORD" Joshua 24:15. Well, Emma's nursery is (pretty much) DONE! There are a couple things we still need to get, like crib sheets and a sound machine - little things like that, but the FUN stuff is pretty well done! And we LOVE it! Its exactly what I pictured in my head, which almost never happens:). Sorry for the bad lighting - these were taken at night! Pink, I would drive myself crazy trying to find the exact match of pink for other parts of the room! This is ...

Nesting at its finest. Cookies and Cream Fondue. Yes, Ive convinced them! Monday, January 31, 2011. Tonight Jake told me that 'reality has set in' for him.finally that we are having a baby! I laughed and said-well what did you expect-we've known for a while now and been planning. He said the blog icon with the baby spinning that says 35 days-made him realize it's not that far away. He also mentioned that she could come any day. I'm glad he is having this revelation now and not any later. Because of the p...

As For Me and My House. We shall serve the LORD" Joshua 24:15. Well, as I write this I only have about 4 more hours of work left! I feel good about that. Also, the house remains in a pretty laundry-free, clean state, since I keep thinking "today could be the day". PLUS, we *cough* left the dog at my parents last weekend.no seriously, it really was a (happy) accident! Of course my parents had tried to call, but since it was Sunday our phones were still on vibrate from church! Well, any day now Emma will m...

As For Me and My House. We shall serve the LORD" Joshua 24:15. I Love. Christmas. Its absolutely, no question, my favorite time of year – the snow, the lights, the busyness, even the cold is fun, because it comes with hot chocolate and fires. I am also very sentimental (really to a fault sometimes) which means I LOVE traditions, and there are so MANY at Christmas! We just couldn’t wait to start the season this year, and actually started decorating 2 weeks before Thanksgiving! We will be doing an advent c...

As For Me and My House. We shall serve the LORD" Joshua 24:15. Caleb has always been an excellent eater - between 9 and 12 months he gained 6lbs. Seriously he's always loved food! And he wasn't picky - he would eat almost anything, including vegetables. So, of course, I was all "yea this is why I made all his baby food; its supposed to help him be more open to things like vegetables.awesome job me! Hidden veggies. And they are delicious! These that have applesauce in them taste like apple streusel muffins.

Back to Bike Riding. Tuesday, September 27, 2011. Back to Bike Riding. We can ride our bikes again-Woo Hoo! I've been dying to ride my bike since our gym membership expired in March and physical activity has been limited due to our precious little baby. Because Nora is steady holding her head up and can sit up by herself she can now ride in a bike trailer. We bought the bike trailer at a consignment sale a week ago and it so far is the best thing EVER. Jake and his new ride.such a Dad and so proud! Anyho...

As For Me and My House. We shall serve the LORD" Joshua 24:15. So over this last month (plus a couple weeks…I know….we were without a computer for a few weeks) a couple of things stand out:. First, this whole “mom of two” thing, has gotten slightly easier in some ways – Busy Boy and Sweet Girl can actually play together much better! 8230;I rush over to the. Fort, and see Caleb playing blocks with his sister – sweetly handing her blocks and explaining about their shapes:. See Emma, dis a. Square , and dis.

As For Me and My House. We shall serve the LORD" Joshua 24:15. Emma is 9 Months! Well Our sweet, quiet, “sit and observe” little girl is gone. Instead we have a babbling, giggling, stair climbing, LIGHTNING fast crawler (who can also cruise with the best of ‘em, and stand for quite awhile unassisted before falling) who is absolutely bound and determined to follow big brother and join in on EVERYTHING her idol does (and folks, that does include poor big brother’s froggy potty time…). I finally convince hi...

As For Me and My House. We shall serve the LORD" Joshua 24:15. Ok wow this last month was a big month for changes! A month ago Emma could army crawl…and in the last 4 weeks she has started crawling on hands and knees (and people, she is FAST), pulling up, and cruising! She crawled a few feet to her destination, Caleb warily picked up his cars and moved to a safer area, and I went back to the kitchen to finish dinner. Then Caleb comes running in and says in an unmistakably “tattling” voice...We are starti...

As For Me and My House. We shall serve the LORD" Joshua 24:15. Well the big news this month is Caleb is WALKING! Actually, I almost forgot to put it in this month because it happened right after he turned 9 months! He took his first steps on October 1:. And by the next week he was taking 6-7 steps on his own. And now he's pretty much running! He rarely crawls anywhere anymore, and can get from a sitting to standing position without pulling up on something - its crazy what a difference a month can make!
