Thursday, July 18, 2013. I got to spend a week at Girls Camp this year. I have never been as an adult (the last time I went was in 1998) and I was a little nervous. I always had such amazing experiences at camp and I was afraid I wouldn't be able to be the kind of leader/friend/spiritual advisor that these girls needed me to be. Not comfortable, but not scary. Tuesday, June 26, 2012. I love Father's Day. It's such a wonderful day because I get to think about how many wonderful memories I have with my Dad and what a stellar father he is. I also get to spend some extra time thinking about whatan amazing man I'm married to and what a great father he is to our children. This year, I made a couple of things for the Dad's in my life. Wednesday, January 11, 2012. How is that possible? These snakes were long, but they were thin, they couldn't have done this. To my complete and utter horror, my sweet, fearless daughter bent down to pet the velvet snake. I was so terrified that I couldn't even scream for her to run. I was paralyzed and I was sure that I was about to witness the death of my baby. My legs had stopped moving, but the snake hadn't. Miraculously, the snake completely ignored my little girl. It was like she was invisible.

Saturday, February 25, 2012. I had a whole huge long post here about some rough spots I'm going through right now, but I deleted it because I don't want anyone to get the wrong idea. My kids are wonderful. They are polite, smart, funny, healthy, and NORMAL kids. They aren't perfect and I struggle to find the best way to teach them right from wrong, but I think that's part of being a parent. Wednesday, February 22, 2012. What a cute little girl I have.
