Thursday, December 16, 2004. TV characters within the show. The Simpsons, we have to agree, has produced many memorable characters and we love to see them on TV. But what do the Simpsons like to watch on their TV? Itchy and Scratchy are to The Simpsons what Terrence and Philip are to South Park. Tuesday, November 30, 2004. Simpsons and Family Guy. I feel that the new Simpsons season hasn't really been all that great. The last new episode I saw, "Sleeping With The Enemy", was about Marge adopting school bully Nelson to fulfil her "mothering" needs as Bart and Lisa became too independent (much to Marge's disappointment). They're no Simpsons but Family Guy is packed with peculiar characters, random laughs, and a lot of great subtle humor that walks a fine line between funny and vulgar.
