Saturday, March 30, 2013. Today's Flowers and Weekend Flowers: March Ends. I'm going to start with some recent blooms in my yard. So far only one blooms has opened on this variety of narcissus. I hope more of these will start blooming soon. Some of my azaleas which are fairly sheltered have visible buds. As I've mentioned in other posts it's too early for azaleas to bloom as we still have temperatures dropping below freezing at night. My neighbors forsythia which branc hes over into my yard is a delight.

Friday, February 07, 2014. The two photohunt words go together very well this week. In the winter frozen water. Designs in everything from bird baths to puddles to lakes and creeks. The first shot is frozen water emptied out of a bird bath and the second shot is a frozen puddle. The third shot is a frozen lake near the shore and the shot above is a frozen bird bath. Tuesday, February 26, 2013. Nature Notes: Spring around the corner. My narcissus that bl o o. Med too soon has so me flowers. Although we're still in winter , it won't be long until spring arrives. The male rufou s-sided towhee was enjoying a mild day. The femal e towhee below was also enjoying the day. I realize I'm pr ojecting human feelings when I ta lk about the animals but I'm going to do it any way. The yellow rumped wa rbler comes to my deck with I put out cold weather treats. Saturday, June 29, 2013. Today's Flowers and Weekend Flowers: Home and Office. My first rose of sharon of the season (bush type of hibiscus) are blooming. The yellow roses below are blooming at my office. I used to have a similar yellow rose bush at home but it died after many years of beautiful blooms. Below is a mix of pansies at my office. Working on the problem. The computer is a complete mess and won’t let us access the internet. I’ve been working on it a little at a time, but with two toddlers wanting my attention, I’m really not able to spend the time with the computer necessary to figure it out.
