A while ago, I saw a project for making a "penny ball" to keep slugs out of your garden. A natural remedy, I'm all for it! I'm so tired of the holes in my Pansies and Hostas! It's a regular slug buffet in my front yard. We used some glue called "AmazingGoop". It was smelly, but it set up really quickly, and held the pennies on tight. I hope it works just as well! Greg, Piper, Cannon, and Harper Wise. Wednesday, November 7, 2012. Another BUSY Halloween this year! Cannon's school activities fell on actual Halloween day, and Harper's were the week before. This was so good! Harper had a normal day at preschool, which allowed me to go see Cannon in his school parade and help with his class Halloween party. This year he decided to be a baseball player. Pretty slick! Once again, the Trick-or-Treat weather was perfect! We met up with some friends to make the rounds.

Greg, Piper, Cannon, and Harper Wise. Friday, January 25, 2013. Cannon's birthday was pretty much a four-day event this year! It started on Friday, with his VIP day at school. We love LOVE his teachers so much! His Chinese teacher had all of the kids make him Birthday cards in Chinese. His English teacher plays her guitar in class all the time, and she had Cannon's classmates sing to him, and they got to have a Q&A session after he did his VIP presentation. Pretty cute! A little sunshine goes a long way!

Greg, Piper, Cannon, and Harper Wise. Wednesday, November 30, 2011. As of a few months ago, this was Harper's room. Her closet looked like it PUKED THREE CHRISTMASES! It was the worst. It always looked horrible, even when the toys were picked up. What a joke. I hated it! I mentioned this to my good friend Jenn. She IMMEDIATELY got to work! Greg, Piper, Cannon, and Harper Wise. Friday, June 29, 2012. Last Day of First Grade! As of today, we officially have a 2nd Grader! Wow What a year! First grade was the first year for Cannon to be at school all day, and the first year to eat lunch at school, and his first year of Chinese Immersion. Wise: Mandala Monday

Greg, Piper, Cannon, and Harper Wise. Monday, May 6, 2013. Today is our first day of Cannon's off-track break, and we're already going stir crazy! It's turned out to be a chilly day, so being stuck inside didn't help. I remembered seeing on Pinterest (YAY Pinterest! That there were Mandala Coloring Pages available. A Mandala is a circle, but it is far more than a basic shape. The possibilities are endless! I found a bunch of places online to print out coloring pages for the kids and I, and away we went.
