Thursday, 22 December 2011. I was asked by Wonky Films. To develop an illustration style for a pitch they were developing for CBeebies. The job was to design and animate a series of 10 nursery rhymes in a fun and interesting way, aimed at pre-school children. I was briefed to produce a couple of sample illustrations to depict a nursery rhyme ( I'm sure you can guess which one) - this is what I came up with. To showcase the biodiversity of the South West in a totally unique way - over 60 local artists will depict endangered species on large triangular wooden 'Bunt' pieces, to be strung up at 4 venues across Bristol: Arnolfini, @Bristol, Colston Hall and M Shed, on June 9th - 17th. Monday, 6 June 2011. Gorilla Watch: Update #3 The Completion. Having done 3 coats of matte varnish at intervals over the last week or so, I was finally able to collect the skis from being cast, and get them fixed onto Super G - Downhill Racer. Slightly un-dignified, pre ski-fit:. And then back on his feet, complete with skis. The skis were cast in resin with aluminium powder added to give them their super-shiny metallic look. Tuesday, 25 September 2012. Drawn in Bristol Calendar 2013. This is my image for the new Drawn in Bristol. Calendar, which comprises of 12 illustrative takes on different Bristol places - each by a different member of the Drawn in Bristol illustration collective. The calendar uses a palette of 4 colours, with each illustrator being able to select 2 colours to use in their image - these have each been lovingly hand printed onto high quality paper stock, and collated to form a special calendar for 2013.

Wednesday, 10 February 2010. Apologies for the lack of activity of late, I've been lurgied up to the eyeballs! Basically woke up on Saturday morning at stupid o'clock feeling like someone had decided to kick me to bits in my back, side and stomach. Spent all day in agony and managed go to the doctors, turns out to be a nasty kidney infection, gave me some anti-biotics and was told to take paracetamol for the pain. What's the point in that then?
