For those with more energy could continue this walk onto Ronda! There are many longer walks in the area. A book detailing many walks written by a local resident is available in the house. The pileta caves are about a 20 minute drive away. The caves go a long way underground and have some of the oldest cave paintings in Europe. The underground chambers and lakes are fantastic. For location click here. 80 minutes drive from Jerez de la Frontera. 90 minutes drive from Seville. 100 minutes drive from Malaga. 120 minutes drive from Granada. 120 minutes drive from Gibraltar. Also the train from Granada to Algercerias stops in the village! Although you could manage without a car, car hire is recommended to fully appreciate the region. There are several local places to eat, drink and shop. They are all in the village, a few minutes walk away. A restaurant that is open from Wednesday to Sunday. They serve local produce and local wines. You can order steak, pork dishes, chicken, and stews. It is usually packed out on Friday and Saturday, lunchtime and evenings with the local Spanish.
