It was great to reconnect and share ideas and thoughts. We are continuing to work on making our assessment more formative with the focus being on learning stories. During Monday night staff meeting the Nido team reflected/discussed our goal. To reflect, and deepen our knowledge of formative assessment and put this into practice. We remarked our 3 quality indicators. 1 Teachers engage in formative assessment documentation which describes meaningful current learning and development. On a scale of 1 -5 our shift was marked from 2 to 3.

Last night at staff meeting teachers were asked to reflect on their goals set at last our last meeting in relation to formative assessment! It was great to hear their reflections. Another busy productive staff meeting where we began to construct deeper meaning of our goal;. To reflect, and deepen our knowledge of formative, meaningful documentation and put this into practice. Children's identity comes out through the documentation. Mutiple voices heard (children, whanau and different teachers). Teachers reflections are present, we show the teaching.

My own focus is on Opportunites and possibilites- this is what some people call the what next. At the moment if this is included it is just a few lines.
