This past week in Las Islas Galapagos was truly incredible- this World Heritage Site deserves its title and its fame for being a pristine and unique place. After this trip, I have a newfound obsession with the penguins and sea lions of these islands. After 4 days of fun, we switched with the other group and boarded Nemo II, a 70 ft catamaran! Enjoying the stunning sunsets.

The nature reserve is about an hour from Quito and has the insane altitude of 3200 km above sea level! At this altitude the rain shadow affect causes there to be a constant layer of fog, making it a cloud forest. I felt like I was walking through the set of Jurassic Park! February 5, 2014. Day 3- Orientation y Salsa! My favorite part of the day was Salsa!
