Saturday, March 24, 2012. California Here We Come! Spring break - at last! We headed to California with our good friends, the Bykowskis. Tim and I both took Friday off of school. So we could get cheaper flights, and headed to San Diego on Thursday night. We connected with Tim's uncle Gene and he hooked us up with a Trolley Tour of the city that included a seal boat ride around the bay. Here we go . We saw wild dolphins, sea lions, seals, pelicans, and other assorted birds as well as lots of cool sailboats.

Saturday, April 21, 2012. Gee, I forgot to blog about a few things from the annals of the family get-togethers! I'll reverse time and go back to a big event - Teddy's 10th birthday party! Yep - I said tenth. He is a Leap Day baby, so he was really celebrating his 40th:). Angie had a great party in their party room with yummy food, and friends. The boys - Ted's son Matthew and Corey's son Maddox, had the run of the party. Ted's going to be grilling salmon soon - yum! Hmmmm - how do you like this color?

Thursday, October 10, 2013. Up North with the Bykowskis. Since Tim, Joan and I retired last June, we decided to spend the first full week of school up north at their cabin this fall. Thursday, July 11, 2013. Can It Be . Retirement? Jane began it all last June of 2012, retiring from 41 years at Cannon Falls Elementary School. The six of us went out for dinner in September but I forgot my camera! Then Pat retired January 1st and Ted retired in February and we went out for dinner again! After being together for about 15 years, Teddy and Angie finally tied the knot on May 14th! Paul officiated at a beautiful service in the party room of their apartment complex. They were stopping for diapers on their way home (Jenna stayed in the car with Mabel), and I was doing some shopping while I had some free time. So Mabel had her first of many trips to Target when she was only 1 day old! I picked up Charlie from daycare, hung around for dinner, and then, since everyone was doing just fine, I went home. Friday, January 20, 2012. Jenna decided that Charlie really needed to see Santa, so a few days before Christmas, we headed to Mall of America, hoping it wouldn't be too crowded. We grabbed some food at Noodles and then got in line. Charlie watched as other kids sat on Santa's lap, some crying and others smiling. You want me to sit on that guy's lap?
